JOHN'S PROJECT : building this pergola from scratch for us to have our ceremony under!! He was on Block Island for 3 months working on this before the wedding! ....Our gift to The Island Home Inn for many years to come...

...he even set the patio stones and built the stone staircase that we all walked down during the ceremony...

...our reclaimed wood directional sign....at the top of the steps

...my first time using a wood-burning tool - not too shabby!!

...an antique wood canoe held the bottles of beer...

our cake topper was made (to look like us) by my college roommate & bridesmaid, Liz MacLean

...custom m&m's were placed on top of each cupcake...

the 'cookie bar' was made up of old family recipes

we made a custom tie design through Vineyard Vines - the 3 repeating images we used were: our dog Sable, the shape of the island, and a tandem bike (popular on the island)

'place rocks' ::: these were our place cards on the tables for the night...

...and our custom stamped forks...

we had our logo silkscreened onto the welcome bags our guests received once everyone checked into their hotel

water bottles with our logo on them were in the welcome bags as well

another hand drawn map was put in the bags listing our favorite places to eat, drink & shop

along with an insert with activity info

i hand drew this map, which was then laser engraved onto a piece of wood & was mailed along with the invitation.

i designed the save the dates to look like vintage ferry tickets. letterpressed on crane's lettra paper.

the wedding weekend insert was included with the invitation as well - and had hand drawn images
